Arielle Zuckerberg, sister of the Facebook founder, has joined the main rival of social network – Google. This is what Arielle wrote in her status on Facebook.
Currently, Arielle works as an associate product manager in the company Wildfire Interactive, which has taken over by Google. The deal is reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources. According to unconfirmed information, the financial transaction was approximately $ 250 million.
Arielle wrote that she felt uncomfortable due to the fact that now she will be working for Google, but at the same time proud to be part of Team Wildfire.
Business Insider writes that Mark Zuckerberg suggested his younger sister to work in Facebook, but she had refused. Another sister of the Facebook founder – Randy, had agreed to work in the social network, and for several years she headed the department of consumer marketing. Randy Zuckerberg left Facebook in August last year. Currently Randy is working on the controversial Silicon Valley Reality Show to be aired on Bravo TV.
Wildfire Interactive is one of the leading partners of Facebook. Company specializes in the management of marketing campaigns and promotion of brands in several social networks, in particular, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. Total head count of Wildfire is about 350 people.
