Nokia taking pre-orders for Pureview 808 in Italy, releasing soon in other markets

Nokia 808 PureView, the much talked about 41 MP camera smart phone, and presented during the exhibition Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, will be released soon in the market.

According to the Italian website of Finnish giant Nokia, PureView is now available for pre-order for shipment in the month of May. Smartphone has been priced at € 599, and customers need to pay a part of this amount i.e. € 90 at the time of ordering this gadget.

Nokia is soon expected to announce the launch of Pure View in other markets also.

Nokia 808 PureView running Symbian Belle, is stuffed with single-core 1.3-GHz processor, and is equipped with a 4 inch AMOLED touchscreen clear black display with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels (nHD) protected by durable glass Gorilla Glass. Other hardware specs include 512 MB RAM plus 16 GB of internal memory and slot for microSD memory cards. The 41-megapixel lens (effective resolution – 38 M), manufactured by Carl Zeiss, makes it possible to shoot images of very high quality and allows us to consider Nokia 808 PureView one of the best camera phones in the world today.

In regards to audio, the handset has Dolby Digital Plus technology for surround sound. Looking at the price of 599 euros, Pureview 808 can’t be called a bad bargain. But let’s keep our fingers crossed, until we get the first hand reviews from Italian customers.

Additionally, there are some rumours doing round on the internet that PureView will be release in the UK in April itself.
