Sage Stallone, son of the famous Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone, has been found dead at his Hollywood apartment in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon, reported Reuters with reference to the lawyer of the deceased.

Sage’s Lawyer George Braunstein said that it is a huge tragedy as he was a young, talented and successful filmmaker and a wonderful person.

Cause of death is not yet known, police claims that no signs of violence have been detected at the site of death of Sage. However according to unconfirmed reports some pills were found near the body of Sage, accidental overdose of which, according to one version, could be the cause of his death. Sage was found dead by his housekeeper.

LAPD Commander Andrew Smith said “It sounds like a terrible tragedy. He was way too young to die,” adding reports that Sage died from a prescription drug overdose are premature, according to PEOPLE.

He does not rule out the possibility of heart attack or a stroke maintaining that final conclusion will be made only after toxicology report is received.

Sage was fathered by Sylvester Stallone from his wedlock with first wife Sasha Czack, with whom he was married for ten years before divorcing in 1985. Sasha and Sylvester had two children as elder son Sergio suffered from autism.

A statement issued by Sylvester’s manager said: “Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son, Sage Stallone. His compassion and thoughts are with Sage’s mother, Sasha. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man. His loss will be felt forever.”

36 years old Sage Stallone was an aspiring actor, director and film producer. Son of the action hero for the first time appeared on the large screen in the movie “Rocky 5”, in which he played Robert Balboa, son of main hero, whose role, as in the previous four films of boxing sequel, was performed by his father.  He also appeared in 1996 flick Daylight with his father.

Sylvester Stallone has received worldwide fame thanks to the movie “Rocky” and series of special forces fighter “Rambo”.  For the first time he played the role of John Rambo in 1982 in the action movie “Rambo – First Blood” from which he earned $ 8 million.
